Taking the munchkin to an airshow

I will be taking the munchking to a local airshow this morning. He is starting to show the same interest in planes that I had when I was younger.

More importantly, I want him to see some of the older airplanes that will be on display. With fuel prices going ever higher, I am wondering if we will continue to see some of these vehicles still flying in a few years.

Yes, we could go see these same airplanes in a museum. But seeing a static display is not the same as hearing an old world war two bomber shaking the ground as it flies by. That might be a bit mind-blowing for a small kid but I want him to physically experience a bit of history so he understands its importance.
