Airshow with the Munchkin
Taking the munchkin to the airshow was a smashing success. We carried him around to the airplanes and helecopters so he could see up close the toys he plays at home.
We took a shot of him in front of a Navy helicopter to send to his uncle Pete (who is a Commander in the US Navy)
He was a bit more interested in the inflatable jumping castle than the airplanes, but that is understandable since the castle was bright red and it was hard to get too close to the airplanes.
It was good to see so many families with small children. Entertaining small kids can be a challenge (you can only go see movies like “Horton Hears a Who” so often).

We took a break for lunch and came back to watch the aerobatic portion of the show from my company’s office building parking lot. The boy wasn’t terribly impressed (he wanted to stay inside the car and watch the DVD player). My wife guessed that he wasn’t impressed since he thinks airplanes should just flip and zoom like the toys he flies around the house.
A big thanks to the folks at the Rocky Mountain Airport for putting on this event. It made for a wonderful weekend and you help make memories for kids that will last a lifetime.
